It's a Boy!
We are so excited to be having another boy, well most of us.
Lincoln said " we are having a boy, cause I wanted a boy."He's pretty excited to be having a brother. Lacey on the other had cried when we told her it was a boy. She say " I already have a brother". She's excited for a baby though.

21 Week Ultrasound
We are both so happy with the opportunity to bring another sweet little baby into our lives and family. I love going for an ultrasound and it makes things just a bit more real.
But the typical happy news was hampered when we were on our way home from our ultrasound appointment and we got a call from Dr Stewart our doctor, to come in. As he'd like to talk to Josh and I in person together. Right then I knew something wasn't right. We were able to make the arrangement and both go to the doctors that same day. From the ultrasound, the doctor had concerns that our baby had Meningocele (spine wasn't fully closed which means he has a birth defect called Spina Bifida). They wanted to send us to Calgary for another ultra sound and further testing to find out the correct dicnotices.
The next few days were tough, so many emotions evolved while trying to comphrend everything that was going on. I didn't know what to say and I couldn't believe how this was happening.

16 & 20 Weeks
How far along? 20 Weeks! We’ve hit the halfway mark (I’m
actually in denial-but oh so excited)
Baby Stats: Baby is the size of a mango and weighing
about 10.58 oz (20 weeks).Doctor says its a very
active baby.
Maternity
clothes?
Still mixing some maternity and some regular clothing, non maternity shirts are
starting to get a tad short though.
Symptoms: At 17 weeks I started
feeling this little one move, by 18 weeks Josh could feel the movement
too. Feeling a lot of movement this week from baby, as the weeks go on.
I'm feeling a bit tired but I think that’s just from moving and trying to get
all our boxes unpacked. Other than that I feel completely normal, other than my
growing belly and feeling pressure from my round ligament.
Looking
forward to:
Getting started on the nursery! Or a crib set up in Lincoln’s bedroom. I just
want to get the rest of the house unpacked first.
Gender: Still Unknown. We find
out this week :)
At my 20 week
appointment, I meet with Dr Kahn for the first time for this pregnancy. She
advises me to have a c-section. Due to my history from my last two labours and
my placenta not wanting to come out. Dr Kahn said if I try a vaginal birth, I
will most likely need a hysterectomy and a blood transfusion.

Our New House
We bought a house and we love it! We are so excited for this new adventure of staying in Canada. Lincoln and Lacey have done so good with all the the changes in their lives, but it will be nice not having to move so often. They both adjusted well with our move into our new house. We just have to get unpacked and settled. Then we will list pictures of our house.

Lacey's Three
Lacey such a fun little girl to have in our family. She sure knows how
to put a smile on your face. She has so much personality. She's energetic, full
of life, silly, independent, feisty and caring. We love our little Lacey and
can't believe she's already three.
Weight: 38lbs
Height: 35 inches
tall (2 feet 11 inches)
Clothes size: 3T and
4T clothing, depending on which brand it is.
Favourite Food:
Loves yogurt with granola, white milk, oranges, candy!
Words from Lacey:
When we were at Walmart one day, Lacey found a toy she really wanted.
She asked a few times to get the toy. Josh explained how we don’t have money
right now to buy toys, so we will not be able to get the toy this time. Lacey
pulled out a penny from her hoodie pocket and replied “ I have money”. It was
so cute! I wish that penny would have been enough to buy that toy for her.
Lacey pooped on the potty, so we giver her treats at times to help her
be more consistent. One day Lacey pooped so I gave her a treat, rights after
she went into the next room and said to Nana and Lacey says to Nana moto
- “I’m a good girl, mommy says I can have more worms”, nana
says “ should we ask mom”, lacey -“ no”

School!
Well the day has arrived, Lincoln officially is going to school, he's in Kindergarten at Lakeview School (the same school that his mom went to). He goes to school Monday-Thursday afternoons from 12:20p.m. - 3:30p.m. Lincoln was so excited and ready to start school. But he did say that he was excited and a bit scared.
And while I am so happy and excited for Lincoln to experience more, it is SO hard leaving your precious child in someone else's care! Someone else gets to spend time with him, play with him, watch him discover new things, and teach him. I also know that someone else will get to see how Lincoln is empathic, caring, and kind to others. He can be shy and quite at times, but also know how to be loud and silly. How he loves adventures. He has a great imagination and loves to make people laugh. I hope he remembers how special he is to me.
When I picked him up today the first thing he said to me was, "that was SO much fun!" The whole way home he went on and on about all the awesome things he did at school, my heart swelled! Here was my first baby all grown up and telling me about his day, I sat there and prayed hard that he will always be this excited to.
