2 Year Myelo Clinic

Josh took Oliver to Myelo Clinic this past week ( it's hard not going to Oliver's appointment with him). It’s crazy to think that we have been making regular trips to the Alberta Children’s Hospital for two years now. Oliver loved rolling around in his zipzac. Much easier to move around on the hospital floors. Oliver got a prescription for a new set of AFOs and we need to keep monitoring him as we have been doing (Oliver had a ultrasound of his bladder, there was some sediments in his bladder which means he doesn't totally empty his bladder... so the doctor doesn't want to catheter yet until he has an actual UTI). Doctors are pleased with his progress. Our main focus for the next 6 months is physiotherapy and speech therapy.

The day after Myelo clinic this is all Oliver wanted to do. Sit and snuggle me. I think he missed me just a bit.

Lacey's Special Day

Lacey is loving kindergarten! She loves her teacher, Mrs DeJong. She was so happy that she got the same teacher as Lincoln did for kindergarten... And I was too. Lacey was a bit nervous about starting kindergarten and I knew of she the same teacher as Lincoln it would make the transition so much easy. Mrs DeJong is one amazing teacher and I can't same enough good about her. Lacey loves going school and spending her days with Mrs DeJong. She loves to learn, make new friends and have fun.

Each student gets a special day about once a month. Lacey looks forward to these days. It's the day where they get to be the leader and help the teacher out and invite someone to come with her to school.

How's my little girl growing up so fast?

Family Get Away

Since we kept Christmas simple this year we were able to have a family get away. Which I felt like we all needed, as 2017 has been a very busy year with me working and Josh in school. It was nice to be able to slow life down a bit and have fun as a family. We shopped, relaxed and swam. Scott and Melissa even came for a night on their way back from visiting her family up north.

Christmas 2018

We had a great Christmas! We kept it very simple this year, which I loved. We had Christmas at our house, which was so nice as we didn't have to pack every thing up and hall everything somewhere else.  It was great to spend our Christmas time with family.

Grinch Day 2018

I feel so bless to have the job I do. I get to be be a stay at home mom and work. Which is pretty amazing! As I get to have lots of fun. We do a lot of themed/ fun days. For December one of our fun days was a Grinch Day. We got to dress up wearing green/red, try out some 'Who' inspired hair dos, and wearing antlers like the Grinch’s dog. We had fun taking part in Grinch themed activities and even ending the day with watching one of our favourite Christmas movies the Grinch.

Lacey all dressed up for our Grinch day!

My day home children bring me so much joy! I have been so blessed to have the most wonderful day home families, it really makes all the difference. Thank you Jordan and Logan for this beautiful Grinch surprise. We love it!
