Never A Dull Moment

Lincoln and Lacey keep me busy and I love it. There's always something happening. They make life so fun and make life better. I love being their mom.

Two weeks ago we had a Frozen party, the day of the party Lacey had no interest in putting her princess dress on like all the other girls. But this week she wore her princess dress all day so we had to get some proof. Lacey loves being a girly girl sometimes, dressing up, putting up lip gloss, painting her nails, carrying her purse around. But she also loves having fun, being adventurous and getting dirty.

When I found Lacey like this, all I could do was smile. Then go grab the camera. Oh this girl! She was playing with her kinder surprise which had a toy ring, we didn't know was that there was a stamp in the ring.  But Lacey somehow found it and had some fun with it. Luckily she only got the stamp on her self and not nanamoto's cream carpet. Because.... the stamp wouldn't wash off. So she had a green face and hands for a few days.

We miss being outside everyday. So when it warms up a bit we take up every chance to enjoy the fresh air. We are looking forward to spring.

Then a few days later it was a deep freeze again. So we had to find things to do inside What better way to stay warm then make some yummy monster cookies. Lincoln and Lacey love to bake. They pretty much made these cookies by themselves with a little direction on the correct measurements. When we were done baking and got to enjoy the warm cookies, Lincoln said " making cookies is a lot of work."

Date Night!

We got to go out for a date night this past weekend. It was last minute planned, but I am so glad we got the oppertunity to go out for dinner just the two of us with out kids for a few hours. Dates rearly happened while we were living on St Maarten. So when date nights happen they are very much enjoyed and needed. It's nice to be able to spend one on one time with the man I love. Having the grandparents babysit is a added bonus and to receive pictures to know that our kiddos are also having a great time.

Sunday Fun Day - Nerf War

We love Sunday's as we get to spend more time with family. We invited Aunt Melissa, Uncle Scott and Abigail over for dinner. It was fun we got to spend time together. We also all had a great time with Lincoln’s new Nerf Guns. Lincoln earned his Nerf Guns as he kicked the habit of bitting his nails. This is some thing we have been working on for about 6 months. So proud of him for this, as I know how hard it is to overcome, as I was a nail bitter myself when I was younger. We could also tell that Lincoln was so proud of himself for his accomplishment. Everyone had a blast with Lincoln's new Nerf Guns. A Nerf War broke out. Lincoln, Lacey and dad and Uncle Scott really got into it. We had a great night together and we all love family fun time.

Lacey face was priceless everytime she had a hold of the Nerf Gun.
She took this game seriously.

Abigail also got into the Nerf War.

Super Hero & Princess Day

Nana Yamamoto Day Home had a Super Hero and Princess Day. It was the perfect way for the kids to dress up and have extra fun with their friends. Lincoln was looking forward to this was for quit a while. So he was pumped when the day actually came.

Lincoln dressed up as a Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtle.

And half way throughout the day he went to be Spider Man.

Lacey had a princess dress, but was not in the mood for wearing it at all. There are days where's she will wear her princess dress all day long.

Where did January go?

Where did January go?... It seemed like the month had just flown by. It’s been nice that we seem Josh at least one hour more each night then St Maarten, so we’ve been enjoying the little bit more family time that we have been getting. We have all been loving it. It’s been needed after a long 20 months of little family time.

Fun bath times with dad.

Games night. Lincoln loves playing gold fish, plus its a good way to practise his numbers.

Building bristle black master pieces with mom.

Quick night walk for some ice cream. It was a beautiful winter day but it was still quit chilly. Missing the heat just a bit.

Here's a picture of Lincoln and Lacey's day home friends.

We started going over the letters of the alphabets. It's something fun that I really enjoy doing with the kids. We've been trying to do two letters a week. Lincoln already knows all his letters but it's fun doing it with Lacey this time around too.

Great Grandpa Thomas Birthday

We had a great birthday dinner for Papa Thomas ( great grandpa thomas). We did raclette,  mini woks and chocolate fondue. We had a great time visiting with Nana & Papa Thomas, Nana & Papa Yamamoto and Aunty Kay. Lincoln and Lacey loved cooking their own food. It's was fun way to have dinner that the kids were all over, that they ate a tone.

Swim Night

We had a fun Friday night swimming. We invited Uncle Logan and Aunt Melissa, Uncle Henry and Abigail. Since we’ve been back we sure have missed going swimming. We were use to going daily. Lincoln's in swimming lessons so he goes weekly. Lacey, mom and dad haven’t gone since we've been back, so we were in for a much needed swim night. We had lots of fun. It was great seeing Uncle Logan, who we haven’t been able to see too much since we’ve been back, as he’s been working in Northern Alberta on the Riggs. Lincoln and Lacey love playing with Abigail so it was fun seeing them play together in the water. We went to Nicholas Sheran Pool which has a toddler pool that a warmer water temperature, which was nice as we are use to swimming in warm water. Lincoln and Lacey weren't into pictures that night ,as you can tell.
