Birthday Mini Holiday Weekend

With keeping Lincoln's birthday and party simple, we were able to play a birthday mini family holiday weekend. For it we headed to Calgary the day following his birthday for a fun day at the zoo,
Abigail, Aunt Melissa and Unlce Scott came along for the fun. We gad a great day at the zoo. Lincoln and Lacey both loved the penguin and dinosaurs the best. After the zoo we headed to a hotel and hit the water slides. We all had a great time on the waterslides.

Party Time!

For Lincoln's birthday party this year he wanted a Hot Wheels Party. We planned his party on his birthday in the afternoon, so we could have it during dayhome hours with all the big kids. As we figured it's hard to get everyone to come in the evening or weekend with everyones busy schedule.
We kept the party simple and still had lots of fun. We borrowed a bounce from a friend, played games, raced hot wheels, played pin the wheel on the car and ate cupcakes. We had a fun filled day!

Uncle Logan and Kara popped by to wish the birthday boy, Happy Birthday!
Nana & Papa Thomas also popped by. Plus Lincoln got birthday phone calls.

Lacey was not so impressed it was Lincoln's birthday, she sure was happy to get her picture taken though.

Treat bags: we gave each kid hot wheels with a tag that said " I am while glad we are friends"

Lincoln had a great day!

Lincoln's Five!

Little Helpers

Nana Harker has been very busy with her university assignments  over the last month so we thought we could help her plant her garden one evening. As she doesn't have much time to do them her self.  Lincoln and Lacey loved helping her and getting their hands dirty.

May Long Camping Weekend

We had an amazing weekend camping. It was a rainy weekend, but that didn't stop us from having fun. We went camping to Grandpa Stewart's land, which is just south east of Cranston by Kimball River.

Friday night we were able to enjoy a walk to the river, along the way we found snake grass.

Saturday it rained for a good part of the day.  Which allowed us to have some fun in the puddles. Lincoln and Lacey sure didn't mind that it was raining one bit.

We had two soggy wet kids we had to dry out after their fun in the puddles and rain.

Sunday morning Lacey enjoyed some Nana time and they made chocolate chip oatmeal muffins for breakfast in Nana & Papa Stewart's new trailer.

On Sunday Nana & Papa Stewart surprised Lincoln with his birthday present and Cupcakes.
Lincoln loved his gifts. He got a Wubble Bubble, the Kerplunk Game, bubbles and a color changing mood turtle.

Nana Stewart showing Lincoln and Lacey how a mood turtle works. They loved their turtles!

 Bubble Fun!

We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed Ice Cream Cupcakes together.
Thanks Nana & Papa Stewart for making Lincoln feel special.

Quading was a big hit while camping. It was hard to get Lacey to get off after every ride

Lincoln and Lacey enjoyed quading around Great Grandma & Grandpa Stewart's farm land.

Lincoln still loves climbing trees like he did in St. Maarten.

We visited Great Grandma Stewart's glass bottle collection she has in her back shed.

I can say Lacey's first camping trip was a success. She loved sleeping in Nana & Papa Stewart's trailer, playing out side, riding the quad and getting dirty. She keeps asking to go camping again since we've been home.

Thanks Nana & Papa Stewart for inviting us camping. We had a great time and can't wait to go again.

Exploring The World Around As

We love exploring the world around us. Our family loves adventures and finding fun this around us to do as a family. Over the past few week, this is what we have been up to.

We visited the Family centre in downtown Lethbridge. We use to visit the centre before we left with Lincoln. It's been fun going back and having fun as a family. The family centre is such a great place for kids and a perfect thing to do as a family on a cold evening.

We also visited Country Blooms Garden Center. They have a huge green house that the kids loved to look around at all the beautiful flower and plants. Lacey called the green house, a big tent. They also had a huge slide and park that we had lots of fun on.

We had fun at another Home Depot kid craft morning. This time we made Mother's Day Frames.

Happy Mother's Day!

“Being a mother is not about what you gave up to have a child, but what you've gained from having one." - Sunny Gupta

I'm so blessed to be a mom to Lincoln and Lacey. Being a mom is the best. These two have taught me so much and blessed my life more than I could ever dream of blessing theirs. Feeling so grateful to be their mama. Happy Mother's Day!
