Rock Climbing

We planned to go camping with Uncle Scott and Aunt Melissa's family this weekend but they weather decided to rain. So we changed our plans so we could still have lots of fun despite the weather. Lincoln and Lacey had a great time climbing with Abigail, while Oliver and Isabelle watched.

Happy Father's Day 201

One day is not enough to honor how special of a dad you truly are because you are amazing every day of the year. I love you for being who you are and for all that you do. You give our children someone to admire, respect, and honor. You are a fantastic dad. Happy Father’s Day to a wonderful husband and father!

Lincoln's Baptism

Lincoln chose to be baptized. We had his baptism on June 9, 2018. It was sure a great day, that we'll always remember. Thanks to all his family and friends for coming out to support him.

Pictures I took of Lincoln a few weeks before his special day.

Baptism Program

Lincoln's baptism day was perfect! Which made this very special day that much better. Right before we headed to the church for Lincoln's baptism it rain. Which Lincoln that was pretty neat as one of Lincoln's song he choose for his baptism was 'When I am baptized '. It was just perfect timing!

    When I am Baptized
I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
And ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,

And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.

Hope Classic/ Calgary Getaway

We went to 'The Hope Classic For Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus' today! Lincoln finished his second 5K run and did amazing. Oliver got to wheel in his first 1K and loved every minute of it.

Had a great afternoon at Fish Creek Provincial park in Calgary with our St Maarten friends ( the Sala family). We enjoyed some ice-cream. The kids had fun playing in the river. And we even found some frogs in this little pond/stream. Lincoln wanted to take them home with us.

We were thinking maybe the going to the zoo but then we decide lets try something new in Calgary that we haven't done before. Best decision ever. We went to the Olympic Park and went on the Luge. Everyone had a blast trying the Luge! It was great for the whole family.

We had a great family getaway! Just what we needed.

Running Club 2018

Running club is something that Lincoln has grown to really love. I’m so thankful that his school offer such an amazing program for the students and families. Running is something that has made him really push him self and believe in himself. I have enjoyed watching him to become stronger and have amazing endurance. Lincoln loves to run!

Running club was hard this spring with all the snow we had. Some morning they were running in 1-2 feet of snow. These children learned that they can do hard things. So proud of them!

The warmer temperatures felt amazing in the early morning for running club. With completing running club, Lincoln has ran a total of 42 KMS. Good job Lincoln!

Lincoln's Injury

Lincolns 8th birthday day is one to remember, but not in a good way. One of the worst feeling is when you get a call from your sons teacher saying he’s hurt and not doing well. It’s been a rough week. I don’t get why others need to me mean and hurt others. Please teach your kids that “in a world where you can be anything be kind.”

The bully came up behind Lincoln at recess and pushed him (kinda from the side). Lincoln didn’t expect it so he landed on the top of his hand as he didn’t have time to put his hands out. Then the bully stomped on his hand.

Lincoln went for X-rays. No broken bones that they could see. But the doctors asked for second set of X-rays as Lincoln got so much swelling. Some times when you get so much swelling they miss seeing broken bones. Luckly it wasn't broken just extreme soft tissue damage (sprained four fingers, hand and wrist).

“Bullying is never fun, it's a cruel and terrible thing to do to someone. If you are being bullied, it is not your fault. No one deserves to be bullied, ever. “- Raini Rodriguez
