Grandpa Stewart has been having some health concerns for a while, they admitted him into the hospital. Where they then ran a bunch on test to figure out what was wrong with him. The doctors dignois was he has congestive heart failure and cancer on the liver. The doctors said with he's type of cancer there is very little they could do to treat it. Grandpa Stewart didn't want and treatment.
Lincoln and Lacey knew great grandpa Stewart he was sick. I told them his heart is sick and he has cancer in his liver. Lincoln says “well can’t the doctor fix him and make him better?” ( all they have know with doctors is with Oliver and my dad and the doctors have always been able to help) I said with his type of sickness no. He’s lived a great life and he’s ready to go to heaven. I feel more so Lincoln then Lacey but I feel that they are old enough to explain it to them. Lincoln said “this makes him really sad”. I said they will be able to see him again when we go to heaven. Lacey says “that will not be for a long time”. I said it will feel long but it will not be that long. I feel Lacey and Lincoln are at a good age. We’ve taking this as a teaching opportunity for them to learn more about life and we have been taking about the plan of salvation with them... I feel very blessed that we got to visit with Grandpa Stewart one last time on Sunday the day before he passed away. Lincoln stood by his hospital bed and help his hand till he dell asleep.

He assessed land for taxes, installed telephone poles and lines, did D8 caterpillar work, welded, built and dismantled buildings, sheared sheep, hauled hay and farmed large amounts of leased land.
Floyd was always eager to volunteer in his community. He was always there to help friends, family and strangers that crossed his path. Floyd had a very strong work ethic and taught this to his family.
He influenced and taught many young men the same good values. He loved to hunt, hike, ride horses, swim in the river, camp and quad at the family cabin. Travel became a highlight as he toured around the world with friends and family. He was never too old for new adventures like ziplining in Mexico, deep sea fishing and parasailing.
Floyd was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participated by giving service in many areas of which scouting was one of his favorites.
The most important thing to Floyd was his family. He was a friend to all.
Today, we say our earthly goodbyes to an incredible men, grandpa Stewart. Thankfully, we share the same faith that this isn’t the end. I know will see you again someday.
