The Loving Box

This is something I forgot to write down from Christmas time and it's something I really want to document and remember.

At Christmas time Lacey asked for a box that she would pit a gift into and wrap it. I offered her a cracker box and she said it was the perfect size. She brought the box to her room and did her thing with it and brought it back down stairs all wrapped up. She then went and placed it under the tree. I have to say I was pretty curious to know what was in it, as neither Josh or myself went to the store with her to buy something for this gift. I was excited when the time came that I could open this gift from Lacey. She was so excited! I unwrapped the gift, opened the box to find nothing in the box, I was a little confused as to why she was so excited when there was nothing inside. I tried to ask excited too, as I didn't want to disappoint her.She then said "It's a loving box! I filled the box with my love. When ever you need some love, just open the box and i can just you so love ( a hug)." This melted my heart and I couldn't believe at the age of 5 she came up with this all on her own.
