Life in the Caribbean in December is wonderful... well for the most part. The weather is perfect. We miss family and the kids and I never saw Josh just due to final exams :( Soon we will get Josh back for some family time :) But the weather is amazing, so we try to stay busy at the beach. It has cooled off but still gets up to +30's and the feel like temp is at least +35- 40. So we can do things outside without roasting in the sun and dying of the heat. We still haven't worn pants yet.... I do miss the snow, as weird as that sounds, but not the freezing cold - 20 temperatures though. It just doesn't feel like Christmas, while driving down the road in our car wearing our swim suits, pass the palm trees and beaches, listening to Christmas music.
Here is where we went to the beach one day and collected sea shells to make our Caribbean snowman out of sea shells. It's not Christmas time with out making snowman. Lincoln is also into collection soda caps. You can usually find them on the beach and at the corner stores (Chinese stores).
Kids on a mission.
Collecting their sea shells, so we can make our snowman.
Winter is called high season here. Thats when all the tourists come down south to enjoy the heat. In high season you see tonnes of different boats in the bay, its pretty neat.
This is a horrible picture I took, but its the only one I got of the Caribbean sea shell snowman we made.
We found a tiki man at Simpson Bay beach that the kids love to sit on.
The twin blonde boys. We still get asked when we are out if Lincoln and Eli are twins. Nope just really good friends. It's not often you see two blonde boys in the Caribbean.
Lacey loves playing in the sand and collection sea shell with Lincoln. She loves being independent and doing the same thing as Lincoln.
We do still take it easy some days with just hanging out at home in our PJ's. This is Lincoln's way of watching movies, up-side-down. Must be comfy or something.
Christmas craft Lincoln and I have been making, candy cane reindeer .
We also did some painting with our feet and hands. These two are Lincolns creations. he had so much fun getting his feet painted. Lincoln said "it tinkled and was cold".
Lacey also had to get in on the fun. She thought this was the best thing ever. This was her hand Christmas tree with finger print orterments.
Lincoln being Lincoln. I LOVE this boy! He has so much energy, loves having fun, never stops moving. He really knows how to enjoy every minute of life. He is very compassiate and caring to Lacey and love sot help her. He is also a great example in teaching Lacey how to do things.
Sunday afternoon Lincoln face timing with Uncle Scott and Aunt Melissa in our comfies. He wanted to show them the gingerbread play dough we made. Lincoln called it smelly play dough.
