Weekly Update: Teething, Siblings, Christmas crafts...

Here are a couple more pics we took this week!
14 months

Lacey is now 14 months and 3 of her one year molars have popped through.  That makes it to a total of 7 teeth. She is doing really good with these last 3 teeth coming in. My mom sent one of those amber teething necklaces with my brother when he came last month. So Lacey has been wearing it for just over a month. She still drools and chews on her hand, and is a bit fussy, but I don't think its as bad as the last two teeth. Josh thinks its all in my head and these necklaces don't work. How does he know when he's never home.

Blanket play time with dad before he heads back to school for some more studying. Lately when Daddy come home quick to eat supper with us, all Lincoln wants to do is play with this blanket.

I have noticed Christmas isn't as commercialized like it is back home. It seems to be kept more simple. "What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!” - The Grinch.  Which I like! Focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. I'm wanting to do this more this year. it's going to be kept very simple...We have been getting ready for Christmas slowly by making Christmas crafts for our decorations. I'm planning on not buying any commercialized decorations. This year we are making them. Lincoln loves it. Each day we do a new craft and our house is slowly looking a bit more like Christmas... I am missing my Christmas decoration that I have back home in storage. But we are going to have to do with out them this year... Lincoln is starting to stat in between the lines when coloring :)

Lincoln attending he's friend Krysten's Birthday Party. He had tones of fun with he's friends, it was pool party.

For a treat this week we got this Nutella snack packs from the Chinese corner store, that the kids love. I haven't seen them in canada, so I'm not sure if you can gets them. They have Nutella and sticks, kinda like the Ritz cheese and sticks. Any who, the kids loved there treats they got. Lacey thinks its the best thing in the world that we let her dip the sticks into the Nutella by her self. She loves being independent.

Lincoln is getting really good at swimming without his puddle jumper.

We checked out the Shake N' Twist play centre this past week. Its located in the Blue Mall in Cupe Coy. It's a fun play,It was so nice to play in a air conditioned play and not have to sweat whir having fun. Lacey was right in on the fun with the other kids too. They have a ball pit, trampoline, play centre..... They even have kid excerise bikes, treadmills, and elliptical. They are so cute and the kids thought they were pretty neat.

Another craft Lincoln and I did. Hand print monsters. We usually do crafts in the afternoon, while Lacey has her nap. She is now just having one nap a day. Lincoln loves his craft time for a quiet activity plus he gets all of mommy's attention.

It amazing me how much Lacey looks up to Lincoln. She's only 14 months but she wants to do everything just like Lincoln. She sure loves her brother a lot. I love seeing the amazing bond they already have together. She is always happy when she is just like him, doing the same thing as him and having fun with him. They know how to laugh their heads on together and just be silly. Lacey is amazing at sharing with Lincoln. They love giving hugs to each other.

Grocery shopping is a weekly outing here. We have learn that the food shipments come in Monday so the best time to go shopping is Tuesday, otherwise you could be buying milk that will be expiring the next day at regular price. All the local workers love saying hi to Lincoln and Lacey. Locals here don't know much about personal space, they always get too close to the kids (plus they speak very loud) and the kids aren't big fans of that... I've started putting on these thin hoodies that I brought for my kids when we go into the grocery store, as we freeze from the A/C that they have pumping. Lacey hasn't worn many long sleeve tops before or not that she would remember. As she has spent half of her life in the Caribbean. So when i out her hoods on she shakes her arms, as if she isn't to happy that there is something on her arms.

Thats all for this weekly update!
