St. Eustatius here we come!!!

April 28 we left for our New Adventure half way around the world to St. Eustatius where Josh would be attending at St. Eustatius School Of Medicine. We took 11 suitcases, 3 carry-ons, 3 personal items, a car seat and our chariot stroller. We flew out of Calgary at 12:30am, Kids slept the whole flight to Toronto, which was awesome, other then we had to wake them up when we arrived in Toronto at 6am. Juggling 2 sleepy kids, plus 3 carry-ons and 3 personal items what quite something. Lincoln fell back to sleep at the airport while we waited for our next flight. We grabbed something for breakfast and flew out at 10:15am. This flight was 4 hours and 20 minutes. Lincoln was amazing, he watched movies, ate breakfast, played with his toys. Lacey did good, but soon got overly tired as she only slept 20 minutes the whole flight. When we arrived in Sint. Marteen at 2:30pm she was well over due for a nap, but that wasn’t happening, as we had to go collect our luggage (11 suitcases + all our carry ons + our 2 children. We then had to go check in with Win Air, for our 3rd and last flight of the day. By the time we did what we needed before the flight we only had to wait for 30 minutes or so. Lacey was so tired by then. Our flight was at 5:40 to Statia, it was on a 20-seater plane. That plane was small. I’ve never been on a plane that I could see out the front window and see what both pilots were doing the whole time! We arrived at 6:00pm; it was so nice to know we had finally made it. It was a long day of traveling. It was so nice and warm! I think I can get use to this. We were greeted with the Statia Church group, which was so nice to see some familiar faces (Josh’s cousin Andy Bridge and his family, Brant Tidmarsh from school, Josh and Hannah Farrell, and many others). They all helped us bring all our belongings to our house, which was very nice, as we would of never of found it on our own. The Statia Church group Relief Society left a welcoming basket at our house to help us get through the first night till we could get to the grocery store. This was such a blessing not having to worry about how we were going to feed our family the next morning. Josh & Hannah (friends in our church group) also brought us some supper over that night. Thanks Guys! We couldn’t have done it without the all their helps, they we so welcoming. Since Lincoln and Lacey were so tired they went to bed very easily that night at 9pm (7pm Canadian time). They only woke up once each and slept till 9:30 the next morning… That’s the first part of our New Adventure. We will share more as we get settled in.

Easter 2013

For Easter this year we had a great opportunity to spent the Easter long
weekend with Kayla's Dad and family in Mountain View. We stayed at Rocky Ridge Bed & Breakfast, it was a pretty neat cottage style home with tones of room for everyone. Lincoln and Lacey loved being with Pappa and Nanna Stewart.
 We had a pretty busy but fun time;
 swimming at Waterton Lake Lodge,
visited Cameron Falls,
geocaching with Pappa for the first time,
blew bubbles,
played at the park,
decorated Easter Eggs,
stayed up late visiting
 and even caught the Easter Bunny!
It was a great relaxing weekend, spent with family.
Thanks for everything Pappa and Nanna Stewart.
