Running Club 2018

Running club is something that Lincoln has grown to really love. I’m so thankful that his school offer such an amazing program for the students and families. Running is something that has made him really push him self and believe in himself. I have enjoyed watching him to become stronger and have amazing endurance. Lincoln loves to run!

Running club was hard this spring with all the snow we had. Some morning they were running in 1-2 feet of snow. These children learned that they can do hard things. So proud of them!

The warmer temperatures felt amazing in the early morning for running club. With completing running club, Lincoln has ran a total of 42 KMS. Good job Lincoln!

Lincoln's Injury

Lincolns 8th birthday day is one to remember, but not in a good way. One of the worst feeling is when you get a call from your sons teacher saying he’s hurt and not doing well. It’s been a rough week. I don’t get why others need to me mean and hurt others. Please teach your kids that “in a world where you can be anything be kind.”

The bully came up behind Lincoln at recess and pushed him (kinda from the side). Lincoln didn’t expect it so he landed on the top of his hand as he didn’t have time to put his hands out. Then the bully stomped on his hand.

Lincoln went for X-rays. No broken bones that they could see. But the doctors asked for second set of X-rays as Lincoln got so much swelling. Some times when you get so much swelling they miss seeing broken bones. Luckly it wasn't broken just extreme soft tissue damage (sprained four fingers, hand and wrist).

“Bullying is never fun, it's a cruel and terrible thing to do to someone. If you are being bullied, it is not your fault. No one deserves to be bullied, ever. “- Raini Rodriguez

Lincoln's 8!

Every single day since you was born, you’ve added something so amazing to my world that I can’t even imagine my life without you in it. Your birthday is also the birth of me as a mother. Having a son like you is reason to be proud and happy – not just on your special day, but always! You mean the world to us and we just want you to know that we love you very much. You’ve become such a remarkable boy who makes us so proud every day. Happy 8th Birthday, Lincoln! Hope you enjoy your special day. Love you!! Thanks for being you.

May 2018

We are loving that the days are getting warmer so that we can be outside more. Oliver fits right into our family, as he could live out side. We all love being outside and enjoying the fresh air.

Turtle Mountain Hike

We (Josh, Lincoln and I) joined a group of students that Josh is in the nursing program with and hiked Turtle mountain (Frank Slide) with them. Turtle mountain is a challenging hike as it’s step pretty much the whole way up. There was some pretty amazing views of the Crossnest Pass and of Frank Slide. After climbing we now understand why this mountain is so unstable.

The town of Blairemore and Crossnest Pass Mountain behind Lincoln.

The summit of Tuttle mountain. Lincoln thought it was pretty cool that there was still snow at the top and now understand why as it was really windy and cold.

Found a teepee on our way up.

View of Frank Slide from the top of Tuttle mountain.

On our way home we stoped by Lundbreck Falls. Due to the large amounts of snow this past winter the falls were more full then normal.

It was a great day that we got to spent just with Lincoln. Don't get me wrong I love all three our kids but I believe that it's very important to spend one on one time with each of them. So we split of for the day, Lacey got to spend the day with Nana and Papa Stewart camping and geocaching. Oliver
got to spend the day with Nana and Papa Yamamoto.

They have both worked hard in their dance classes and did amazing at the recital performance. It is so fun as a parent to watch them perform on stage. Lacey even put on a brave face and didn't have stage fright this year.

Lacey's Lyrical Ballet Spring 2018

Lacey choose to go into Gymnastics this past fall and really missed dance, especially when she watch Lincoln in his dance class. So come the new year and she's back in dance and loved every minute of it. She loves dancing! She also did amazing on stage for recital this year (last year she had major stage fright).

Lacey's teacher from last year, Miss Dakota. Lacey loves her and wants her to be her teacher again.

Laceys teacher this year.

Lincoln's Hip-Hop/ Breakdance Spring 2018

Lincoln enjoyed Hip Hop / Break dance so much in the fall, he took it this spring as well. It's been fun watching him improve over the year as he practised each week. I'm glad he's always willing to try something new.

Mother's Day 2018

I was reminded that Heavenly Father has sent me "hand picked just for me" children with strong spirits... and we are in this together. I mess up again and again and somehow these kids still love me.
